La Pro Loco è un’associazione di volontariato. Si tratta di un contratto privato tra singoli cittadini che vogliono sviluppare, insieme, delle forme di attrattiva turistica per la propria comunità.
La Pro Loco è:
un’associazione: questo significa che tutto ciò che viene realizzato è il prodotto di tante teste. Le persone si riuniscono in un’associazione per perseguire degli scopi che non vogliono o non riescono a raggiungere da soli. La natura associativa della Pro Loco pone l’aggregazione come requisito inderogabile della loro esistenza.
un’associazione turistica: oggi il termine ‘turistico’ include moltissimi fenomeni, esistono infatti il turismo culturale, enogastronomico, sportivo, religioso…Ogni Pro Loco deve quindi cercare il proprio filone distintivo in accordo con la realtà in cui opera.
